I got allergic contact dermatitis from using a hair product. It affected my scalp. I stopped using it and then it still spread to the rest of my body. My doctors gave me antibiotics and steroid creams. Nothing worked permanently. This lasted for SIX MONTHS. I read a book that it had to do with gut health and vitamin D deficiency. I just watched the PBS show with Dr. Tanzi and am interested in knowing if there is a need for research participants. I am 81 years old and in very good health. My doctors say that they wish their patients would take as good care of themselves as I do. I worked at MGH in the early 2000's in the Reading Disabilities Unit when doctors were discovering Brain Elasticity. I was intrigued then as I am now. If I can help with research, I would be honored. I’m atm trying to treat contact dermatitis due to essential oil (put Oregano oil on an itchy mosquito bite - boy was that a mistake!!) so as of the day before yesterday I’m using aveeno 1% hydrocortisone and half hour later I apply plain original Vaseline on top. I had to buy my Vaseline new because I was shocked to see that the BABY VASELINE (Vaseline brand even!) that I had on hand contained FRAGRANCE! I was wowed!! Why they would add fragrance to baby items is truly puzzling to me!! Smh

I'm crying watching this my 8 year old daughter has this we've had this same story trying to find the diagnosis and being told it's a tic or we were most recently told it's just a self soothing thing like nail bitting. My daughter had a 3min right gaze seizure that started from her hand waving which finally lead us to a neurologist who prescribed keppra and ordered a eeg and MRI. I'm so thankful we're not alone and now have all this information to bring to the neurologist. I'm here in southern California walking distance to the beach I'm so thankful hearing about your son enjoying outdoors we are a surfing, snowboarding swimming dirtbike riding type of a family and our daughter loves being outside in the fresh air. She also enjoys gardening too. I wish they had more options for shade 5 welding sunglasses that would fit kids.
